| Bio: | The 21st century is when everything changes. Age: Apparent age late thirties, actual age unknown Physical Description: Jack stands 6 feet tall. He usually wears the clothes of a World War II Air Force Captain. On someone else it might seem out of place, but with Jack's athletic build and clear signs of military training it suits him. His hair is short cut brown, and his eyes are blue. Background: Jack can't die, or rather he can't stay dead. Once he was a mortal man, one who led a desperate last stand against monsters that shouldn't have existed. The Daleks killed Jack -- death by Extermination. He wasn't allowed to stay dead. A woman by the name of Rose Tyler infused with the raw power of the Time Vortex brought Jack back to life. The problem, as the Doctor told him, is that she didn't just bring him back she brought him back forever. Jack was told he's been made a fixed point in time and space -- that he is an impossible thing. In what should be a fatal situation Jack will either recover from dying, or simply prove immune to the lethal effect. History: Jack is originally from the 51st century. He grew up there on the Boeshane Peninsula with his parents and younger brother Gray. Jack was recruited into the 51st century organization known as the Time Agency to become one of their Time Agents. It isn't known how long he served, or everything he was asked to do while working for them. It's known one day they took two years of memory from him, prompting him to quit. The rogue Time Agent met the Doctor and Rose attempting to con them under the misguided impression they were Time Agents from the Agency. While the Doctor had misgivings about Jack at first, he allowed him to join Rose and him on their adventures. He abandoned Jack on the Game Station after Rose brought Jack back. The Doctor had a difficult time looking at him, feeling he was "wrong." He'd eventually get passed it. In the mean time Jack sought to reconnect with the Doctor, using his Vortex Manipulator to return to 21st Century Earth. Or rather he attempted to use the Vortex Manipulator to return to 21st century, only to actually land in 1869 where it burnt out, forcing him to live through the entire 20th century waiting to see the Doctor. Present: Eventually Jack settled in Cardiff to wait for the Doctor to come to the Rift. He rebuilt Torchwood in the Doctor's honor after the terrible losses it took during the Battle of Canary Wharf. Jack came into possession of a hand the Doctor lost, and built a device for detecting when he was close. He guessed right, the Doctor came to the Rift, and Jack was able to see the Doctor again. He learned from him how he'd been resurrected and what he'd been made. More comfortable with himself after getting answers, Jack returned to his team at Torchwood. They'd been worried about him as he'd had to leave quickly to catch the Doctor, and left them no explanation of where he'd gone. Once he gave them a few simple explanations they accepted him back.
